Here are downloadable binary builds of the Java 2(tm) SDK ("JDK") for NetBSD, using the Sun Community Source Licensing releases of the JDK. Because these are SCSL builds, there are restrictions on license usability for specific purposes, and you will be directed to a license agreement page as necessary to address these license issues. Note that "Java 2", "JDK", and other Java-related trademarks here are owned by Sun Microsystems, Inc.
These builds are provided with NO WARRANTY to the community by Todd Vierling <webmaster@duh.org>. Sun Microsystems, Inc. does not endorse or otherwise provide support for these JDK builds, and your use of these JDK builds is done AT YOUR OWN RISK and as provided by the license terms presented on the next page (if any).
The download links are time-sensitive, and cannot be cached for a long period of time. This ensures that license agreements are viewed and accepted before download.

Also, Motif (MToolkit) support is not completely working; however, the default X11-based AWT (XToolkit) is functional. As with the Linux JDK 1.5, you will need to "ulimit -d" to get a higher datasize for this JDK to run. "ulimit -d 1000000" is normally sufficient. |
